RA and Crohn’s disease

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and Crohn’s disease are chronic autoimmune disorders characterized by inflammation. RA primarily affects the joints, causing pain, swelling, and stiffness due to the immune system attacking healthy joint tissue. Over time, it can lead to joint deformity and disability. Crohn’s disease, a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), targets the gastrointestinal tract, causing symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, fatigue, and weight loss. Both conditions involve immune dysregulation and can significantly impact quality of life. Treatments often include immunosuppressants, biologics, and lifestyle modifications to manage inflammation, alleviate symptoms, and prevent disease progression, improving patient outcomes.
